TMD Advisory was created to provide support to; Owners and Operators of toll roads, Tolling Service Providers and Authorities, based on real world experience in over 14 countries and across many cultures. 

Often consultants and advisors provide support having never actually done the things they recommend. TMD Advisory's aim has always been to provide the best of our real world experience and knowledge to support your organisation to actually achieve the necessary outcomes and not just read a thick report that inevitably gets put on the shelf and forgotten about. 

TMD Advisory also works with a network of similarly experienced, independent consultants, worldwide, to bring you their unique experiences and perspective. 

Established in 2022 but born in 1998

While TMD Advisory was established in 2022, its founder has been an active part of the tolling industry since 1998. One of the few left with senior operations and technical experience of Cash/Barrier Operations and was one of the first to establish Electronic Tolling in Australia and transition to full Open Road or Free-Flow tolling.

Managing Director / Principal Consultant

Shane has over 24 years, senior management experience in all aspects of the tolling and customer service industry after a foundation of 14 years as an Avionics Engineering Specialist with the RAAF. Having built, transformed and operated some of the biggest and most iconic tolling operations in 14 countries.

Christopher Schuck
Business Analyst & Financial Specialist

An IIBA qualified Business Analyst with 25 years’ experience with many Local, State and Federal Government departments. Chris has a specialised knowledge of integrated systems landscape and will provide Business Analysis on an agile product through the discovery phase and support the project through business analysis, discovery, requirements gathering, and scoping of continuous improvement
  • Over 25 years of Business Analysis experience
  • Demonstrated experience in business process analysis and improvement
  • The ability to lead meetings, facilitate workshops and elicit outcomes for process design, procedures, and technical outcomes
  • Experience in Business process mapping

Tess Cullen
Business Consultant, Research & Support

Tess is a recent graduate from QUT’s Business School where she studied business and law, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business. During her studies she worked with the new Airportlink toll road customer service department, receiving high quality training and real-world exposure to a challenging customer service environment. She then went on to work as a Paralegal, specialising in conveyancing, until the completion of her degree in 2019.
Since graduating, Tess has founded and manages an Allied Health company in Warwick, Qld with offices also in Toowoomba. Tess is also the city’s first female club president of the Warwick Rugby Club and only the second female club president ever, in the Downs Rugby area. Also named in the “30 under 30” of high achievers in the News Corp survey, Tess is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary.
